License Keys and Serial Number

License keys are used to control the software features purchased by the store, and to prevent copying the software to another store. Your store name is encrypted in the license key, therefore, you must enter the name as printed with your license key. If you need to change the name or spelling of the store, please contact Grant Park Software for a new license key. There is no charge for changing your license key.

Your license key information will be displayed on the Settings tab. The area in yellow to your right, is the key information. Once your key has been validated, this area will show your information.

Note: On later versions of the software, the Update Key button can be found in the lower left corner.

Before you enter your license key, please update your store name, section in Blue on the image to your right. The Salon Name must match the name registered with your key. This includes 90 day demo keys. Salon names are not case sensitive, you can enter all caps or mixed case.

Next, click Update Key. The next dialog will prompt you for the license key.

The license key must match exactly as it is sent to you. If you receive an electronic copy by email, you can paste this number in. Enter your key and serial number, and click Update. Note: If you have access to the Internet, you can automatically look up your license key and serial number. Enter just the serial number, and click Get Key Online. The software will contact the software provider, and retrieve the key automatically. It will also reset your salon name, to the name on record as well.
Once your key is entered, you will receive a popup dialog indicating the status of the key. If you have a demo key, the expiration date will be displayed. If you key is live, you will receive a message stating the key is live and fully operational.
Should you have any problems with your license key, please contact Grant Park Software. Please note, the license key controls access to functionality and will not erase or damage your data in the event you loose your key. Simply contact us for a new key.
